In What Order Should I Read Your Books?
My books can be read in any order. But for those who want the specifics:
Solitaire, Radio Silence, I Was Born for This, and Loveless are all standalone novels about different characters. They can be read in any order. Start with the one that interests you the most from the blurb!
This Winter and Nick and Charlie are spin-off novellas from Solitaire and Heartstopper, but can still be read and enjoyed even if you haven’t read those books.
The Heartstopper series and Solitaire feature some of the same characters, and operate within the same universe/timeline, but they are very different stories – Heartstopper is a happy, romantic, uplifting graphic novel series that focuses on Nick and Charlie, while Solitaire is a dark story about mental illness narrated by Charlie’s sister, Tori, and was written long before Heartstopper. You do not need to read them both, but if you’d like to read them both, it doesn’t matter which one you read first. Chronologically, Heartstopper starts a year before Solitaire starts.
Hopefully it’s fairly obvious that the best way to read Heartstopper is in the order of volumes (so Volume One first, then Volume Two, then Volume Three, etc…)
WHAT YEARS DO YOUR BOOKS TAKE PLACE IN?
The short answer: They don’t take place in any specific year.
The long answer: I write my books as if they are taking place in the present at the time that I am writing them. This obviously doesn’t technically work in the timeline of the books, because I wrote Heartstopper long after I wrote Solitaire, even though Heartstopper takes place before Solitaire!
DO YOUR BOOKS OCCUR IN THE SAME UNIVERSE?
Yes! Here are some helpful timelines:
